Economics N5

We have a new addition to our Report 191/NATED Business Studies series, namely, Economics N5. It is written according to the DHET syllabus. Also take note that our books are now printed in full colour at the same price as black and white. A lecturer's kit will be available soon!

Public Finance N5

Public Finance N5 follows the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) National Syllabus for N5, and is aimed specifically at South African learners in South African classrooms and lecture halls in TVET colleges. Relevant, up-to-date and topical examples from the South African context, especially in the case studies, have been given in an attempt to engage the interest of the learner. In the case studies also, soft-skills development such as problem-solving, team-work and research has been promoted. This book incorporates the currently applicable legislation relating to Public Finance, especially in terms of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) (amongst others), according to which all public institutions are governed from a financial point of view.

This book incorporates the essential and factual material about public finances, for any prospective entrant to the public or municipal management field of work – or, in fact, for anyone working in government.

The exercises and case studies provide students with ample application and self-evaluation opportunities. The Communication N6 textbook features contemporary and relevant examples and pictures that both student and lecturer will enjoy.

Cost and Management Accounting N5

The updated Cost and Management Accounting N5 textbook features numerous practical examples from real-life situations and includes the latest changes according to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). It remains a student-friendly textbook that includes everything a student needs in order to be prepared for the examinations. The differences between actual, budgeted and applied manufacturing overheads in Module 4 are particularly well-explained, carefully navigating a student through these often confusing concepts.
